La Lettura is the new Corriere della Sera weekly supplement dedicated to the world of culture and cultural consumption, free every Sunday with the newspaper.
La Lettura is a new eclectic and broad publication and presents itself as a loud, clear voice, capable of firm opinions and sparking debate.
This important new editorial project looks at the prestigious history of Corriere della Sera and quotes an important page from it. Starting with its name, it revisits a historic publication linked to the newspaper, the magazine of the same name, “La Lettura”, published between 1901 and 1945.
Structured in four sections (“Orizzonti”, “Caratteri”, “Sguardi” and “Percorsi”), it is based on an advanced, contemporary concept of “culture” and re-defines its scope. Aside from the mix of different genres (from more traditional fiction and non-fiction to graphic novels and blogs), it raison d’être lies in its fusion of languages (literature and art, but also photography, architecture, graphic and web design) and media (books and large exhibitions, but also television series and online cultural events). In addition, each week the cover of La Lettura features a work of art created exclusively for Corriere della Sera by artists of international acclaim.
