Description of Format

The Standard page format (abbreviated to PG) consists of two views (portrait/landscape) according to the orientation of the iPad.

Two separate graphic materials are required for the portrait view and the landscape view and must be assigned names as indicated in the table. The technical specifications are listed below.

Sending Materials

The files must be saved in a folder (see below) and sent to the ftp address communicated by the magazine pagination department:

Folder named:

MagazineName_Number_Customer_Format code
Example: Dove_5_Bulgari_PG

Portrait view file:

The file name must contain the customer name and the orientation
e.g. file name: customer name_port.jpg (.png or .psd))

Landscape view file:

The file name must contain the customer name and the orientation
e.g. file name: customername_land.jpg (.png or .psd)

WARNING: if more than one material is to be sent for the same number, the subject should also be included in the file name. (e.g. customername_subj_port.jpg; customername_subj_land.jpg).

Description of Format

The Page with video format (code VI) consists of two views (landscape/portrait), according to the orientation of the iPad, and a box on the page containing a video that may be played by the user in full-screen mode.

Video Positioning Examples

Example of portrait video:

Description of Format

The Page with product variants format (code VP) consists of a page with a dual view according to the orientation of the iPad and a preset number (e.g. 3) of thumbnails of the same product in different colours or models. The user can click on any of the thumbnails (previews) to maximize the product on the screen.

FullScreen materials

Save the pictures with a name made up of the customer name, fs (which stands for full screen), the orientation, numbers 1 to 5, following the order of the pictures. See the tables below

Portrait view materials:

WARNING: Do not put logos and/or text at the bottom within the 768 x 115 Px area because it is occupied by the product previews (see red square on page 10).

Landscape view materials:

WARNING: Do not put logos and/or text at the bottom within the 1024 x 125 Px area because it is occupied by the product previews (see red square on page 10).

Description of Formatt

The Mosaic page format (code MO) consists of a page with two views (portrait/landscape) according to the orientation of the iPad. The landscape view is divided into 9 pictures that may be single creative visuals or product pictures. The user can click on each of the pictures to maximize it and browse through the other pictures. In addition, the user can return to the mosaic view at any time. In the portrait orientation there is only one fullscreen picture.

Description of Format

The Storytelling format (code ST) consists of a page with a dual view according to the orientation of the iPad that tells a picture story with captions (4 pictures + 4 captions) plus a video. 
Portrait view: the user can move from one picture to another simply by browsing or may click on the video box to start it.Landscape view: contains the "cover page" from which the user can start the video or the photogallery in vertical browsing mode.
